Our clocks may have just gone back, but fashion’s time has gone forward and the Spring/Summer13 collections have started to appear
I was thrilled to be invited to Next’s press day again. The event was held at One Marylebone in London. Purple lights created a sultry setting, while white lamps illuminated the collection. Rachel Stevens even popped in to check out the venue; but enough of that, let’s talk clothes.
Cling onto cobalt, adopt some orange and drag out the neon pink, they’re going to be key colours. Next’s prints are stunning, particularly the ones that uplift their trousers. Dark floral and feather prints, and crochet textures make their clothes stylish for the bar, but smart enough for the office.
The shoes and accessories were equally alluring. Floral and monochrome pieces were dotted around the range.
There was definitely a Chanel spell cast over some of the pieces.
The home collection never fails to disappoint.
Apparently there was plenty more to see but they couldn’t fit it all in! You’ll be able to find it all when it hits stores nationwide in January.
I thought it would be hard for them to top their Somerset House venue and fabulous winter collection, but Next really did the brand justice, delivering an elegant event, with stunning pieces.
